The Invictus Games were inspired by the similar Warrior Games based in the USA and is championed by Prince Harry. It is a multi-sporting event in the Paralympic style for members of the forces who have been injured, wounded or became sick in the course of their service. At the opening of the first Invictus Games in London in 2014, Prince Harry said that the Games would
"demonstrate the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and demonstrate life beyond disability"

Archery is one of the included events of the Invictus Games. I am honoured to have been able to work with and coach several injured servicemen who were using archery as part of the rehabilitation process, some of whom went to the 2014 Games in London and returned home with medals. I was also privileged to attend sessions with the whole team of UK Invictus archers 2017. If you would like to read my personal interesting and emotional story
Alongside the main Open Competition at the Invictus Games, there is also a Novice Competition for servicemen and women who have taken up archery only after the previous Games.
If you are ex-service personnel and either already shoot or would like to take up archery — whether your goal is to qualify for the next Invictus Games or to use archery as part of your rehabilitation and recovery — I am passionate about helping you achieve your aims.
Through structured, supportive coaching, I’ll work with you to develop your skills, confidence, and enjoyment of the sport. Using a variety of proven techniques, I can help you get started in archery or refine your existing abilities to reach your full potential.
If this sounds like something for you, please get in touch to discuss your goals, or come along to one of our shooting sessions for a chat.
I coached David Hubber and Gary Pout before the first Invictus games in 2014, London. David went on to win Gold and Gary Silver medals.
